Job Description

We are looking for a Chargeman BO to oversee and support the operation, maintenance and safety of the company's electrical systems and facilities. The position will also be responsible for supervising electrical maintenance activities and ensuring all work is carried out safely and according to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the daily operation and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and facilities.
• Carry out routine inspection and ensure electrical equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Supervise electrical technicians and contractors during maintenance, repair and installation works.
• Ensure all electrical maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and applicable requirements.
• Monitor and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and coordinate troubleshooting and rectification works.
• Maintain proper records of electrical inspections, maintenance activities, breakdowns and repairs.
• Monitor electrical consumption and identify opportunities for improvement and energy efficiency.
• Ensure electrical tools, equipment and work areas are properly maintained and safe for use.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance and other departments on electrical-related matters.
• Prepare and update maintenance reports, checklists and documentation using computer systems.
• Support internal and external inspections related to electrical systems and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, environmental and operational procedures.
• Perform other duties related to electrical and facility maintenance as assigned.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Chargeman BO competency certificate / certification recognised by the relevant authority.
• Minimum Diploma / Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification will be an advantage.
• Relevant experience in electrical maintenance, facilities or manufacturing environment.
• Able to supervise technicians and contractors and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, safety-conscious and able to work independently.
• Willing to work on shift / standby / emergency call-out when required.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM8,999.00 per month

Education:

• Malaysian Special Skills Certificate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Chargeman BO: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Chargeman BO Competency (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
