Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2027 to31 Dec 2028 with an option to extend for another year

Working hours:
Mondays to Fridays: 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break.
Services are not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

Scope of services:
• Support the procurement, organisation, maintenance and administration of resources for the Science Rooms, including the purchase of required materials and equipment, stock-taking of apparatus, materials and teaching resources, and maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the Science Rooms and their equipment.
• Prepare materials, apparatus and equipment required for science lessons, practical activities and experiments.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs of apparatus and equipment used for science lessons, where appropriate.
• Maintain and care for the school’s hydroponics systems and related equipment.
• Assist in the teachers in the preparation and conduct of science related school programmes, activities and events.
• Support activities conducted at the Science Enrich Corner and ensure that the area and its resources are kept clean, organised and well-maintained.
• Perform other Science Room-related duties as reasonably assigned by the school

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The Teacher Aide must have at least two (2) years of relevant working experience in a science room, science laboratory or a similar educational setting.

The following qualifications, experience and skills are preferred:
·      At least one (1) year of experience in gardening, preferably involving hydroponics systems
·      A diploma or equivalent qualification
·      Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage science room resources and tasks systematically.
·      Basic computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
·      Possess good interpersonal and communications skills.
·      Be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
