Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end electrical project execution for a mission-critical facility, from design review to commissioning.
- Oversee electrical contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure compliance with project scope, quality, and safety standards.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and shop drawings.
- Plan and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with local authorities, codes, and standards (e.g. Suruhanjaya Tenaga, IEC, MS standards).
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, process, and EHS teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Conduct site inspections, progress meetings, and risk assessments.
- Manage testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, technical issues, and delays.
- Prepare regular project status reports for stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in electrical project management, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or plant construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, power distribution, switchgear, lighting, earthing, and industrial electrical installations.
- Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
- Familiarity with Malaysian electrical regulations and authority submissions.
- Proficient in project management tools and documentation.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
