Cleaning Supervisor

Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred/required
Experience: 4 years in cleaning, housekeeping, facilities management, or a related field

Job Summary

The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising daily cleaning operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and customer service. The role involves supervising cleaning staff, organizing work schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring that cleaning procedures and company standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of cleaning staff.
• Prepare work schedules, assign duties, and monitor staff attendance.
• Inspect offices, buildings, facilities, and other areas to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment, chemicals, and workplace safety.
• Ensure cleaning materials, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and available.
• Monitor the quality and efficiency of cleaning services.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve cleaning-related issues professionally.
• Maintain cleaning records, checklists, inventory, and staff performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, management, and other departments regarding cleaning requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and recommend improvements to cleaning operations.
• Report staff performance, operational issues, and supply requirements to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• 4 years of supervisory experience in cleaning, housekeeping, facilities, or a related service industry.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to organize schedules and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, hygiene standards, and safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays when required.
