Job Description
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary point of contact for customers on sea freight shipments and enquiries
- Coordinate import, export, and cross-trade shipments in accordance with customer requirements
- Manage end-to-end shipment coordination (booking, arrival notice, documentation, transportation, tracking, and insurance)
- Liaise with carriers, forwarders, warehouses, transport providers, overseas agents and internal teams
- Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation (BL, Switch BL, invoices, permits, etc.) including verification of shipping costings
- Register customer records and shipment data in system
- Monitor shipment status and proactively update customers on delays or issues
- Handle shipments issues and resolve service-related complaints professionally
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company procedures
- Prepare relevant operational and service performance reports
- Participate in process improvement and service quality initiatives
