Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Planning and implementing long term business strategies to achieve the company’s objectives
  • Setting the overall strategic direction of the company alongside the board
  • Provide business transparency to the senior management and the head office in Beijing; Also responsible for the overall management to the wider business in Asia
  • Develops global commodity strategy based on data analysis and market trends, prepares financial models, identifies opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings, and presents results to internal business partners; Implements and executes on results
  • Build and lead a cross-functional team in the various functions: trading, research, risk management etc...
  • Meeting with the finance director on a regular basis to review the company’s financial performance and setting company budgets and forecasts
  • Working closely with the Regional Trading Manager and Trading Operations Team to review trading strategies and overall activities
  • Perform all necessary duties to support corporate goals as they relate to established supplier quality, total landed cost and inventory objectives
  • Work closely with leaders in functions such as legal, compliance, support, operations, and risk to ensure the business is in line with policies and regulations
  • Collaborates with business partners to develop, engage and lead external relationships for extracting the greatest value in cost, performance, risk management, sustainability and innovation. Manages the ongoing performance of suppliers.
