The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.

CMU OmniClear Limited (CMU OmniClear) is a wholly owned subsidiary of CMU OmniClear Holdings Limited, which is jointly owned by the Exchange Fund (as the majority shareholder) and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (as the minority shareholder). It carries out the operation and business development activities of the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) on behalf of the HKMA. As part of the critical financial market infrastructure in Hong Kong, CMU is a central securities depository (CSD), providing secure and efficient clearing, settlement and custodian services for securities. CMU OmniClear’s vision is to continuously enhance CMU service coverage, expand connectivity with other markets and upgrade the CMU infrastructure to provide market participants with comprehensive and quality services.

Senior Associate (Application Framework Development & Support)

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise system software and application frameworks
• Develop and maintain application framework modules for system-level functions, including authentication, single sign-on, access control, scheduling, workflow and reporting engines, and file upload and download capabilities
• Manage and execute continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, covering build, test, version control and deployment processes
• Develop tools to monitor system health and performance
• Provide operational support including incident handling and the execution of disaster recovery drills
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and supervisors by proactively providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues
• Keep abreast of relevant technological advancements, industry standards and best practices, while actively reviewing the CMU’s existing systems to identify areas for continuous improvement

Requirements

• University degree in information technology, computer science or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience within a well-established organisation, with a focus on developing application framework components, system software administration and DevSecOps
• Solid experience in the configuration and management of Oracle Database, IBM WebSphere and MQ
• Strong expertise in Java, JMS, Spring framework, Hibernate, Message-driven EJB, JSON, and Open API
• Sound knowledge of CI/CD setup, DevSecOps and Shell scripting
• Knowledge of SWIFTNet and SWIFT messaging would be considered an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information technology concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Candidates with supplementary experience and qualifications will also be considered, even if they do not meet all of the specified requirements above

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Associate level.)
