Job Summary

You will provide personalized, specialized, and cost-effective nursing care to patients, following hospital policies and nursing standards to ensure safe and effective treatment outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ needs at admission and daily throughout their hospital stay to inform care plans
  • Plan and implement nursing care tailored to assessed patient needs
  • Evaluate and monitor patient progress against planned care objectives
  • Document nursing care delivered and patient outcomes accurately on established charts and forms
  • Deliver safe, competent nursing care aligned with clinical protocols
  • Participate actively in physicians’ rounds to coordinate patient care
  • Administer treatments and investigations as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient care delivery
  • Communicate patient progress and treatment responses with healthcare team members
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and rehabilitation techniques
  • Ensure continuity of care through follow-ups and treatment plan adherence
  • Maintain compassion and a positive, caring attitude towards patients
  • Use and care for medical equipment properly to ensure safety and functionality
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment to support patient and staff safety
  • Supervise and guide nursing students, new joiners, registered nurses, and junior staff in clinical duties
  • Participate in clinical and service quality improvement activities
  • Stay updated on current nursing and healthcare practices to enhance care delivery
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Nursing Management Team

Required competencies and certifications

  • Registered Nurse with SNB
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing
  • At least 2 years of experience working in an acute care setting
  • Ability to work 3 rotating shifts (morning, afternoon, night)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams
  • Compassionate, positive, and caring nature to support patient wellbeing
  • Proficient clinical skills and nursing knowledge to deliver quality care

Other Information

  • Work schedule: 5 days per week including weekends and public holidays
  • Willingness to travel for attachments to other hospitals for training as required
