Job Summary
The Hotel Handyman is responsible for carrying out general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of hotel facilities to ensure a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment for guests and employees. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and responding promptly to maintenance requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general repair and maintenance work including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and masonry.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to identify maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
- Repair and maintain lighting fixtures, doors, locks, windows, furniture, and equipment.
- Assist in maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Follow safety procedures and comply with hotel policies and regulations.
- Maintain maintenance records and report major repairs to the supervisor.
- Assist external contractors during servicing and repair activities.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM/High School Certificate or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in building, facility, or hotel maintenance is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
