As a member of the Singtel Recreation Club (SRC), you will support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the Club. You will assist in the preparation of accounts, tax submissions, payroll, and financial reports, while ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with established policies and statutory requirements. The role also includes supporting banking, accounts receivable and payable, and other finance administrative activities to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
General Activities
Prepare full sets of accounts, including income and expenditure statements, balance sheets, trial balances, and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Maintain accounting records, fixed asset registers, and financial files, including proper documentation and backup of records.
Support financial reporting, audits, and implementation of financial policies and procedures, including preparation of reports for Management, Social, and Sports Committees.
Manage banking activities, including bank deposits, reconciliations, cheque and bank transfer clearance, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
Accounts Receivable
Support accounts receivable activities, including invoice preparation, follow-up on outstanding payments, and reconciliation of funds received to ensure accurate recording and timely collection.
Accounts Payable
Support accounts payable activities, including payment processing, preparation of cheques and bank transfers, recording of transactions, and follow-up on invoice discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Payroll
Support payroll administration for contract employees, including timely payroll processing, CPF contributions, reconciliation of payroll records, and compliance with the Club’s policies and statutory requirements.
The Ideal Candidate Should Have
Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline
At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance functions
Familiarity with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reconciliation processes
Singapore CA Qualification is an advantage
Good interpersonal and communication skills
IT-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting systems
