Job Description

Responsibilities

Product Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and data-informed Product Designer to own and elevate the user experience for a leading digital subscription business's online services. You will be responsible for optimising the user experience of digital subscription and checkout journeys, as well as account management platforms. Through close stakeholder collaboration and a data-driven design approach, you will turn user insights into intuitive, high-quality design solutions that drive conversion while ensuring a delightful user experience for millions of users.

This is a core product design role - your main responsibility is delivering high-quality design work across a range of user experiences, products, and features. What sets this role apart is the expectation that every design decision is backed by evidence, not instinct alone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers and other designers in a cross-functional team
  • Design innovative user experiences that align with user needs, product requirements and business goals
  • Create core design deliverables (wireframes, prototypes, mockups) using standard tools like Figma
  • Employ a data-driven approach to inform design decisions - backing design choices with landscape/competitive analysis, conversion analysis, A/B test results, qualitative user research findings, or other applicable research methods
  • Maintain clear documentation for handoffs and presentations
  • Incorporate stakeholder and team feedback into design iterations
  • Contribute to the Design System and implement components consistently across projects
  • Present designs clearly to teams and stakeholders, including the reasoning behind design decisions
  • Analyse user data and assist in basic research studies
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation
  • Participate in cross-functional workshops and support team members in meetings

What We Are Looking For

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product design
  • Proven track record of leveraging both quantitative data and qualitative insights to deliver innovative design solutions
  • Able to clearly demonstrate an end-to-end design process - from initial user problems and hypotheses, through testing and data analysis, to polished UI execution
  • Working knowledge of core research and data methods - landscape/competitive analysis, conversion/funnel analysis, A/B testing, and qualitative user research. You do not need to personally run every study, but you must be able to interpret findings from these methods and translate them into sound design decisions
  • Mastery of modern design and prototyping tools like Figma
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow continuously in both design craft and professional experience

Good to Have

  • Experience working with AI tools (e.g. Gemini, Claude, NotebookLM, etc.) in design workflows
  • Direct experience running or contributing to A/B testing and usability research
  • Experience designing for consumer-facing subscription, checkout, or conversion-driven products at scale
