Ideal Candidate for Graphic Designer:

Key Responsibilities:

Packaging Design & Product Development

• Design and develop packaging artworks (pouches, boxes, labels, etc.) in accordance with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Support new product development (NPD) and existing product improvements, including artwork revisions and version control
• Prepare print-ready files and liaise with printers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate execution
• Manage artwork changes, amendments, and approvals efficiently
• Ensure packaging information is clear, accurate, and visually effective

Creative & Visual Design

• Develop creative concepts and visual directions for products, campaigns, and promotions
• Design marketing collaterals such as posters, flyers, POS materials, banners, and basic digital assets
• Support brand consistency across all visual materials
• Assist with seasonal, promotional, or limited-edition design concepts

General Design & Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing, product, QA/QC, and operations teams to meet project requirements and timelines
• Maintain organized design files, artwork databases, and documentation
• Ensure designs meet internal standards, print specifications, and quality expectations
• Stay updated on design trends, materials, and packaging innovations

Key Attributes:

• Experience and Skills: At least 1 year of experience in Graphic Design
• Creativity and Artistic Ability: The ability to create visually appealing and innovative designs that stand out on shelves.
• Proficiency in Design Software: Expertise in tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is essential for creating detailed and professional designs.
• Understanding of Design Principles: Knowledge of colour theory, typography, balance, contrast, and harmony to ensure the design is both attractive and functional.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in design to ensure all elements are correctly aligned and the final product is error-free.
• Knowledge of Printing Processes: Understanding how designs will be printed and the materials used, ensuring the final product looks as intended.
• Communication Skills: Ability to understand client needs and effectively communicate ideas and concepts.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address and resolve design challenges, such as fitting information into limited space or making the design work on different packaging shapes.
• Time Management: Efficiently managing time to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable Candidates:

• Creative and able to come up with unique and fresh ideas.

• Someone with an already existing portfolio in designing product packaging and labels.
• Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Degree in Graphic Design or Related Field: Formal education in graphic design, visual arts, or a related discipline.

- Proficient in Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

Experience

• Relevant Work Experience: Previous experience in label making and product packaging design.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects in packaging design.
• Client Interaction: Experience working directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
