JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, configure, image, and troubleshoot POS terminals (e.g. HP, NEC) and peripherals (receipt printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, card readers, scales).
Resolve hardware/software incidents, coordinate with vendors for RMA/repairs, and apply patches/updates.
Set up and maintain LAN/WAN, routers/switches, Wi-Fi, and basic server/endpoint configurations for outlets and DCs.
Support CCTV, digital signage/kiosk, biometric devices, and other store technologies.
Monitor and support integration between POS and back-office systems (e.g. ERP/WMS/finance) to ensure real-time sync and data accuracy.
Manage tickets within SLAs, maintain asset/configuration logs, and prepare SOPs, training materials, and performance dashboards.
Provide training to store staff and L1 support on POS usage and basic troubleshooting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
2-5 years of experience in IT support with a focus on POS systems.
Hands-on with at least one enterprise POS (e.g., Oracle Xstore, NCR, Toshiba, Aloha, Toast, Front Systems, or similar).
Practical knowledge of payment flows (EMV, tokenisation), gateways, and PCI-DSS–aligned practices for cardholder data.
Solid fundamentals in TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, firewalls; ability to troubleshoot LAN/Wi‑Fi and basic switch/router issues.
Strong Windows OS skills; exposure to macOS/Linux and mobile (iOS/Android) for handheld/tablet POS is advantageous.
Ability to troubleshoot POS integrations with ERP/e-commerce/inventory/loyalty via REST/SOAP APIs; working knowledge of SQL and log analysis.
Proficient with ITSM/ticketing (e.g., ServiceNow/Jira), monitoring tools, and ITIL-style incident/change management.
Full-time
