Job Description

Responsibilities

Equistar International College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic

Part-Time Mathematics Teacher

to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Mathematics lessons and supporting students in developing strong mathematical skills and achieving their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons according to the relevant curriculum and students' learning needs.

Prepare lesson materials, worksheets, assignments, exercises and revision resources.

Explain mathematical concepts clearly and guide students in developing problem-solving and analytical skills.

Assess students' learning through classwork, quizzes, tests and assignments.

Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback and additional support where required.

Prepare students for Mathematics examinations where applicable.

Identify students' learning gaps and provide appropriate guidance to improve their understanding and performance.

Maintain a positive, supportive, and well-managed classroom environment.

Work closely with the academic team regarding students' learning progress and other teaching matters.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education or a related discipline.

Relevant teaching experience, preferably in an international or secondary school environment.

Strong knowledge of Mathematics and relevant curriculum and examination requirements.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Patient, responsible, and passionate about teaching.

Able to explain mathematical concepts clearly to students of different abilities.

Able to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Working Arrangement

Part-time position with teaching hours based on the college's timetable.

Regular weekly availability is preferred.

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
