We are looking for a Talent Marketing Executive to join our Talent Department.

This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with our Malaysian Talent Team and Mandarin-speaking management and team members.

A major part of the role is making sure communication between both sides is clear. You will communicate instructions and feedback, translate when needed, prepare daily reports, follow up on execution and help manage the Talent Team.

You will also support content production and liaise with Mandarin-speaking colleagues when they visit Malaysia or when we travel to China for business.

Communication & Coordination

• Communicate regularly with Mandarin-speaking management and team members.
• Read and understand Mandarin messages, instructions and documents.
• Translate instructions and feedback clearly to the Malaysian team.
• Translate reports, updates and other communications between Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia is a must.
• Understand the context behind instructions and clarify anything that is unclear.
• Follow up on tasks and make sure requirements are properly carried out.
• Liaise with Mandarin-speaking colleagues when they visit Malaysia.
• Assist with communication and coordination during business trips to China.

Talent Team Management

• Coordinate the team's daily work and schedule.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality and discipline.
• Track individual and team KPIs.
• Follow up with team members who are not meeting expectations.
• Coach and guide team members where needed.
• Ensure the team understands their targets and responsibilities.
• Highlight important performance issues and concerns to management.

Content & Marketing

• Support short-form content planning and production.
• Shoot simple content using a phone or camera.
• Help direct talent during filming.
• Work with the team to improve content based on feedback and performance.
• Assist with other marketing and content-related work when required.

Reporting

• Prepare daily updates and performance reports.
• Compile attendance and KPI information.
• Help prepare and translate reports for Mandarin-speaking management.
• Keep track of pending tasks and follow-ups.

What We Are Looking For

The most important requirement for this position is your language ability.

You must be able to:

• Speak, read and write Mandarin confidently.
• Speak, read and write Bahasa Malaysia confidently.
• Translate written and verbal communication accurately between Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Communicate comfortably with both Malaysian and Mandarin-speaking colleagues.

You should also have:

• Previous experience managing or leading a team.
• Experience in marketing, content creation, social media, e-commerce, livestreaming or a related field.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage people and follow up on performance.
• A responsible and hands-on working attitude.
• The ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Willingness to travel to China when required.

Good to Have

• Experience managing live hosts or content creators.
• TikTok / TikTok Shop experience.
• Live-commerce experience.
• Experience working with Mandarin-speaking management.
• Experience preparing KPI or performance reports.
• Basic video editing skills such as CapCut.
• Experience shooting content using a phone or camera.

Who Would Fit This Role?

We are looking for someone who can communicate well, manage people and get things done.

You should be comfortable speaking with Mandarin-speaking management, explaining things clearly to the Malaysian team, following up on execution and preparing reports.

You should also be someone who can work independently, take responsibility for your work and handle different priorities without needing to be constantly reminded.
