Role Description

We are looking for a skilled PLC Programmer with 3-4 years of experience in automation to design, program, and maintain PLC-based control systems for our manufacturing automation projects. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and are passionate about optimizing manufacturing processes through automation.

Job Descriptions / Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement PLC programs for automated machinery and industrial control systems.
  • Develop control logic and automation programs based on customer specifications, project requirements, and management objectives.
  • Configure and integrate PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and other control system components to ensure seamless machine operation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, software, and machine vision engineers, to integrate PLC systems with vision inspection and other automation technologies.
  • Perform control system hardware and software setup, including PLC configuration, electrical wiring, I/O testing, debugging, and system commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve PLC, control system, and automation-related issues to ensure reliable and uninterrupted machine operation.
  • Support the installation, testing, commissioning, and deployment of new automation systems at customer sites.
  • Optimize and enhance existing PLC programs to improve machine performance, reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure automation solutions meet functional, quality, safety, and performance requirements.
  • Analyze reported software and control system issues, implement appropriate containment and corrective actions, and prepare detailed technical reports.
  • Ensure the quality and timely delivery of PLC software features and automation projects in accordance with agreed project timelines.
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation, including PLC programs, control schematics, I/O lists, electrical diagrams, operating procedures, and user manuals.
  • Maintain proper version control and documentation of PLC software and system configurations for future maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during machine testing, troubleshooting, and customer demonstrations.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks and assignments related to PLC programming, automation, control systems, or technical operations as required by management to support overall business and project objectives.


Skills & Experiences

  • 3-4 years of experience working with PLC programming in an automation environment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation systems and control panel design.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC brands such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Omron.
  • Familiarity with SCADA and HMI development.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and ladder logic diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial automation settings.
  • Able to work with complex software architecture.
  • Good technical writing abilities, including creating software design specifications and software requirement specifications.


Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar for system integration.
  • Experience with robotics integration or motion control systems.
  • Understanding of IoT concepts in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and compliance requirements in industrial automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing PLC, sensor, and system issues, both in real-time and through simulation.
