Hawksman Technology Hiring! Full Time VP Load Balancer Engineer in - Ricebowl

Hawksman Technology is currently working with a major global financial institution looking to hire a Load Balancer Engineer to join their network security team in APAC.

This role sits at the heart of the bank's network infrastructure, working across the region to deliver connectivity that balances business needs, security, availability, and resiliency. It's a hands-on engineering role with real visibility — you'll be the escalation point for senior stakeholders on load balancing and network security matters, working closely with product managers, global engineering leads, and information security partners.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end engineering and deployment of load balancing and network security services across the APAC region
• Get hands-on with implementation and configuration, engineering new services into production
• Make sure security controls are properly implemented and working as intended
• Design solutions based on industry best practice and sound security principles
• Manage a broad portfolio of network technology and business-aligned initiatives
• Work closely with product managers, engineering leads, and operations teams from design through to handover
• Keep documentation current as the environment evolves
• Identify and help manage risk mitigation across the environment
• Work with Information Security partners to ensure compliance with standards
• Support audit, compliance, and regulatory review activities
• Track capacity metrics to ensure service availability
• Run regular stakeholder and vendor meetings, producing status updates

What We're Looking For:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale, complex network environments, ideally in banking or finance
• Strong technical grounding in Load Balancing technologies (F5, AVI, SSLO) and Firewall, IDS/IPS, Web Content Filtering
• 2+ years working specifically with Load Balancing technologies
• Solid troubleshooting skills and knowledge of web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSL, FTP, PAC files, SOCKS, etc.)
• Comfortable creating application and network diagrams, and translating complex issues into clear executive summaries
• Strong analytical mindset with a knack for root cause investigation
• Experience working in a global banking environment
• Some understanding of automation (Python, Ansible)
