About the role
This role leads the financial planning process for assigned business units, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning, ensuring that all financial plans are aligned with corporate objectives and provide a clear roadmap for achieving financial targets. You will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by providing strategic financial insights and recommendations, helping to shape business strategies and ensure that financial considerations are fully integrated into decision-making processes.
Key responsibilities
Lead the financial planning process for assigned business units, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives
Conduct complex financial analysis, such as profitability analysis, margin analysis, and ROI assessments, to support high-impact business decisions
Work with limited supervision and broad guidelines, regularly applying independent judgment on matters of significance
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to business leaders to shape business strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives, such as product launches, market expansions, and cost-reduction programs
Contribute to the monthly business review process by coordinating the preparation of financial materials and leading discussions on financial performance
Evaluate investment business cases, including capital expenditures, R&D projects, and strategic marketing initiatives
Monitor the financial health of assigned business units by tracking key performance indicators and identifying emerging risks and opportunities
Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements
Lead or participate in initiatives to improve financial processes and systems
About you
Bachelor's degree or above, major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
Approximately five to eight years of progressive finance experience, including demonstrable business partnering with commercial or sales teams
Strong command of financial planning, analysis, and management reporting in a commercial environment
Working knowledge of pricing and margin mechanics, and comfort supporting deal and tender decisions under time pressure
Professional working proficiency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a strong advantage
Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, able to build bridges between people
Hands on, pro-active, solution driven, very accurate but with sense of big picture
Profound understanding of accounting principles including Finance compliance requirements
Preferred: CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional qualification, or an MBA
Preferred: Experience in healthcare, medical technology, or another regulated industry
