IT Business Analyst – Banking

Location: Malaysia

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst with a minimum of 3 years of experience, including strong exposure to the banking/financial services domain. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and project teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, document, and validate business and system requirements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams.
• Prepare BRD, FRD, user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements for technical teams.
• Support UAT, test case review, defect clarification, and issue resolution.
• Facilitate requirement workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Conduct impact analysis and support change management activities.
• Coordinate with development and testing teams throughout the SDLC.
• Prepare documentation and provide regular project/status updates.

Banking Domain Experience

Candidates should have hands-on experience in one or more banking areas such as:

• Core Banking
• Retail / Consumer Banking
• Loans & Lending
• Mortgage
• Credit Cards
• Payments
• Digital Banking
• Loan Origination Systems
• Regulatory Reporting
• Banking Operations

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst / Business Analyst.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Banking / Financial Services domain preferred.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in requirement gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Good understanding of SQL/database concepts is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
