Demand Planner – 6-Month Contract

Contract Duration: 6 months
Salary: $5,000 – $5,500/month
Completion Bonus: 0.5 month upon completion of contract
Working Location: Boon Lay
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (Flexi-hours available: 9:00am – 6:00pm)
Work Arrangement: 3 days office, 2 days remote
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

Our client, a leading FMCG / consumer goods company, is looking for a Demand Planner to support its Demand Planning function as part of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with strong analytical and Excel skills who are keen to develop their expertise in demand planning and work closely with multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Demand Planning function as part of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, contributing to forecasting, planning discussions and business strategies.

• Manage short-term and long-term demand forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business requirements.

• Work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service and Order Management teams to support effective supply-demand planning.

• Partner with forecasting and analytics teams to develop and refine statistical demand forecasts.

• Analyse forecast variances, service-level issues and planning gaps, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Maintain and utilise demand planning systems and tools to support planning activities.

• Monitor and report key demand planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy, supply outlook, shipment risks and overall planning performance.

• Support inventory planning initiatives to improve inventory health, reduce excess stock and minimise obsolescence risks.

• Manage and follow through on open issues arising from the monthly IBP cycle, ensuring timely resolution and closure.

• Support regional and global digital transformation initiatives, including forecasting and system enhancement projects.

Requirements

• Prior experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, IBP or S&OP.

• Candidates from FMCG, consumer goods, food manufacturing or other fast-paced industries are welcome. Industry experience is not limited to FMCG.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and macros.

• Experience with SAP/APO is highly preferred.

• Experience with Power BI and/or other analytics tools will be advantageous.

• Familiarity with demand forecasting, inventory planning and S&OP/IBP processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.

• Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions.

• Able to manage tight timelines and follow through on issues to closure.

• Self-motivated, adaptable and keen to learn and grow within a dynamic business environment.
