The Chief System Assurance Officer (CSAO) organization is responsible for building a Global Sovereign System Assurance Framework to ensure Ant International's cross-border payment systems are Visible, Controllable, Verifiable, Auditable, and Sustainable (VCVAS).

About the Role

As a Senior AI & Cross-Border Data Assurance Engineer, you will build AI-powered capabilities that continuously monitor, validate, and enforce data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and jurisdiction-aware controls across Ant International's global payment infrastructure.

Working at the intersection of AI, data governance, cybersecurity, privacy, and cloud infrastructure, you will develop intelligent agents and automated controls that provide continuous assurance over cross-border data access, processing, and transfers.

You will help transform regulatory requirements into machine-readable policies and AI-executable controls, enabling Ant International to operate trusted and compliant payment infrastructure across multiple sovereign jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents and autonomous workflows for cross-border data assurance and regulatory control enforcement.
• Build AI-driven capabilities to continuously monitor cross-border data access, processing, and transfer activities.
• Translate regulatory and data sovereignty requirements into machine-readable policies and automated controls.
• Develop AI-powered solutions to detect, assess, and support remediation of cross-border compliance risks.
• Build continuous evidence-generation capabilities that produce regulator-ready assurance artifacts.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams to embed data assurance into system architecture.
• Contribute to the evolution of Ant International's AI-native System Assurance Platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, AI, cloud, cybersecurity, data governance, or platform engineering.
• Experience building AI agents, LLM applications, or autonomous workflows for security, compliance, governance, or enterprise platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI Agents SDK, or similar.
• Strong understanding of RAG, Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent orchestration, and AI evaluation.
• Knowledge of cross-border data governance, data localization, data sovereignty, and jurisdiction-aware architectures.
• Familiarity with regulations such as GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPL, DORA, and the CLOUD Act.
• Experience translating regulatory requirements into automated controls, policies, or AI-driven workflows.
• Experience with cloud-native, distributed, and multi-region systems.
• Familiarity with Policy-as-Code, Infrastructure-as-Code, and continuous compliance is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, Kubernetes, APIs, microservices, and at least one major cloud platform.
• Experience in financial services, payments, cybersecurity, privacy, or other highly regulated environments is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• High integrity and a strong commitment to security, privacy, and data protection.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
