Are you experienced in shipping, logistics, import/export documentation and customs procedures? Do you enjoy coordinating with forwarders, customers, production teams and customs to make sure shipments move smoothly and on time?
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Executive to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the end-to-end shipping process and is confident handling LCL/FCL shipments, Incoterms, customs documentation and DagangNet.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage daily import, export and local shipping activities, including FCL/LCL shipment arrangements and delivery schedules.
- Source, evaluate and negotiate freight quotations with forwarding agents to achieve competitive shipping costs.
- Arrange container and LCL bookings, empty container collection and shipment schedules according to customer orders and production plans.
- Monitor shipment status and coordinate with forwarders, customers, production, planners and other departments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents including Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (BL), Delivery Order, Cargo Insurance, K1/K2 and other customs documents.
- Handle applications and follow-up for Form D, Form AI, Form E, Certificate of Origin and Cost Analysis with MITI, Customs and relevant parties.
- Ensure shipping and customs documents, HS Codes and declarations are accurate and comply with customs requirements.
- Liaise with Customs, MITI and forwarding agents to ensure smooth import/export clearance and minimize additional charges or delays.
- Review forwarding agent invoices and shipment costing, ensuring charges and shipment details are accurate before payment processing.
- Maintain proper shipping records and documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Identify opportunities for shipping cost reduction and process improvement to support company profitability.
- Perform other shipping, logistics and related duties as assigned by Management.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in shipping and logistics operations, preferably in a manufacturing or trading environment.
- Good understanding of shipping arrangements and procedures for import/export.
- Good knowledge of Incoterms.
- Familiar with DagangNet and customs-related systems/processes.
- Familiar with FCL and LCL shipment arrangements.
- Knowledge of K1, K2, Form D, Form AI, Form E and Certificate of Origin will be an advantage.
- Understanding of HS Code / customs tariff classification.
- Experience dealing with forwarding agents, Customs and MITI.
- Strong documentation and coordination skills.
- Good attention to detail, especially when checking shipping and customs documents.
- Able to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet shipment deadlines.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
