Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Research Development Software Engineer role based in Petaling Jaya. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining software components for measurement, test, and instrumentation solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing requirements, contributing to system and software architecture, writing clean and efficient code, and performing unit and integration testing. The engineer collaborates closely with R&D teams to prototype new features, evaluate technologies, and solve complex technical challenges. Additional tasks include documenting designs, reviewing code, supporting product troubleshooting, and continuously improving development processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and related principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Software Design, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., C++, C#, Java, or Python).
- Background in Research and Development (R&D) and Research, with the ability to investigate technical problems, explore new approaches, and validate solutions experimentally.
- Experience with software engineering practices such as version control, automated testing, continuous integration, and debugging complex systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document technical work in a structured manner.
- Familiarity with instrumentation, embedded systems, or signal processing is an advantage.
