About the role

We are seeking a professional and reliable Lorry Driver to join the IPFE GROUP SDN.BHD. team on a full-time basis. Based in Gelang Patah, Johor, this role is fundamental to our road transport operations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. As a Lorry Driver, you will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles and maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and customer service whilst representing our company on the road.

What you'll be doing

1. Operating and driving lorries safely and efficiently on assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations

2. Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the lorry is in good working condition and reporting any mechanical issues immediately

3. Loading and unloading cargo in a safe and organised manner, ensuring goods are properly secured and protected during transit

4. Maintaining accurate delivery records and documentation, including delivery notes and vehicle logbooks

5. Communicating effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff and customers to ensure smooth operations and on-time deliveries

6. Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies whilst operating vehicles

7. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and undertaking routine maintenance tasks as required

8. Complying with driving hours regulations and weight restrictions to ensure legal and safe operations

What we're looking for

1. Valid driving license with GDL (or equivalent qualification appropriate for heavy goods vehicle operation)

2. Minimum 2 years of verified experience as a professional lorry driver or heavy goods vehicle operator

3. Valid Full Class E JPJ driving licence to operate 40ft container truck

4. Strong knowledge of traffic regulations, safety standards and best practices in commercial driving

5. Excellent driving record with a commitment to safe and defensive driving practices

6. Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic and professional attitude

7. Good communication and customer service skills

8. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks

9. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting

10. A valid medical certificate and all required driving documentation
