Merquri Hiring! Full Time Oracle Database Administrator in - Ricebowl

We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to manage business-critical production databases and contribute to database infrastructure, architecture, and new project development. You will work with Oracle technologies across Linux and AWS environments.

What You’ll Do

• Support and maintain production databases in a 24/7 environment.
• Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents.
• Design and assess Oracle database schemas, infrastructure, and architecture.
• Perform database, SQL, and PL/SQL performance tuning.
• Manage database backups, recovery, restoration, and duplication.
• Manage tablespace allocation, schemas, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Monitor Oracle alert logs and proactively resolve potential issues.
• Manage database patching and version upgrades within AWS environments.
• Provide database expertise for new project development.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on Oracle database administration or development experience.
• Experience in database infrastructure and architecture design.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS for Oracle.
• Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Strong proficiency in writing and executing efficient Oracle PL/SQL.
• Proven experience in database optimisation, SQL tuning, and performance tuning.
• Solid knowledge of backup and recovery, tablespace management, database monitoring, and schema management.
• Experience configuring and supporting Oracle 11g/12c databases on Linux.
• Strong Oracle troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to provide on-call, after-hours, or weekend support when required.
