Job Description

Responsibilities

Principle Duties

  • Responsible in collating and reviewing quotations, making appropriate recommendations and continually assist to develop sufficient & reliable sources/available supplies for present & future operational needs.
  • Coordinates & co-operates with other departments in ensuring that all 3rd party purchasing activities is following the Procurement policies & procedures.
  • Assist the Assistant Manager/Manager in managing procurement administrative work such as follow-up calls on RFQ’s, filings, scanning and continuous updating the products & services directory, vendor’s directory, DDQ, Savings report, IR/PO Logbook, etc.
  • Support & ensure vendor selection and qualifications are according to standard procedures and monitor vendor’s performance, responsiveness & flexibility.
  • Assist the Assistant Manager/Manager to review appropriate purchasing documents to ensure requestor specifications are clear, accurate & comprehensive.
  • Continuously liaising with other departments to ensure 3rd party materials are being delivered on time by providing procurement support, assistance & information as and when required.
  • Be involved with vendor audits & evaluations, provide feedback to vendors with regards to quality & production complaints and ensure actions complied with and enacted.
  • Assist to manage the vendors’ database for present & anticipated future operational needs.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as and when required or attend to ad-hoc matters assigned by the Procurement Manager.


Knowledge/Experience Required for the Job

  • Minimum two (2) years relevant working experience however fresh graduates with good academic credentials are encouraged to apply.
  • Good knowledge of relevant procurement terms, conditions, practices & procedures.
  • Mature, efficient, independent, high integrity & can work well under pressure.
  • Analytical, a good team player and can communicate well with people at all levels.
  • Self-starter; understand & anticipate what needs to be done, take required action & able to multi-task in a faced paced environment.


Academic/Professional Qualification

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree holder in any discipline.
  • Diploma holder in any discipline with more than three (3) years’ relevant working experience is encouraged to apply.
