Role Overview

The Procurement Manager / Senior Executive will manage strategic and operational procurement for indirect/non-chemical spend across the Nufarm Asia business.

The role covers procurement for:

• Commercial and Marketing
• Packaging
• Domestic Logistics
• Manufacturing Operations
• Engineering
• Maintenance and Reliability

The role will also manage the strategic category management of packaging spend, ensuring the right supply strategy and suppliers are in place to achieve delivery, quality, cost optimization and risk mitigation.

This is a combination of strategic category management and hands-on sourcing/purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Category Management

• Develop and implement regional procurement/category strategies for indirect spend.
• Align procurement strategies with global category strategies, business goals, company policies and operational requirements.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier segmentation and risk assessments.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and value creation.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the supplier base.
• Identify and manage supply chain risks, including single-source dependencies, safety stock and critical spare requirements.

2. Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Support CAPEX and OPEX projects through procurement planning and execution.
• Manage the complete sourcing process, including:
• RFx preparation and documentation
• Supplier evaluation
• Supplier negotiation
• Contract awarding
• Manage supplier performance using KPIs, scorecards and regular business reviews.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.

3. Operational Purchasing

• Oversee day-to-day purchasing activities for indirect spend.
• Manage catalogue maintenance and purchase requisition conversion.
• Ensure procurement is completed on time, cost-effectively and in line with company policies and procedures.

4. Value Creation & Problem Solving

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop collaborative and innovative procurement solutions.
• Focus on continuous improvement, cost optimization and business value.

Mandatory RequirementsExperience

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing support procurement roles.
• Broad understanding of Supply Chain functions.
• Strong experience in strategic category management, including:
• Supplier segmentation
• Market analysis
• Supplier value creation
• Supplier consolidation
• Experience in:
• Procurement sourcing
• Packaging procurement
• Event management
• Contract negotiation
• Contract management
• Catalogue management
• Strong knowledge of Engineering and Maintenance procurement spend, particularly:
• EPCM
• MRO
• Spare parts
• Rotating equipment
• Maintenance services
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commercial understanding and a results-oriented approach.
• Focus on continuous improvement.

Preferred / Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• SAP Ariba experience preferred.
• Chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience working across multiple countries.
