We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and company standards.
• Handle Indian and/or local cuisine preparation, depending on the assigned kitchen section.
• Ensure food is prepared with consistent taste, quality and presentation.
• Supervise and guide junior cooks and kitchen helpers.
• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
• Manage food preparation and cooking during busy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and equipment.
• Ensure proper food storage and minimise food wastage.
• Follow SFA food safety and workplace safety requirements.
• Assist with stock checking and inform the supervisor of ingredient shortages.
• Support catering orders and large-volume food preparation when required.
• Perform other kitchen duties assigned by the Supervisor or Operations Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant cooking experience.
• Experience working in a food court, restaurant, catering kitchen or central kitchen is preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods and kitchen hygiene.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in Indian cuisine will be an added advantage.
