Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
NivaBiz is seeking an experienced Technical Service Engineer who can bridge the gap between service delivery and hands-on engineering.
This role requires a strong technical professional who is equally comfortable managing customer expectations, ensuring service performance, and performing in-depth technical troubleshooting and implementation.
The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for service delivery to assigned customers while contributing as an engineer to maintain, improve, and optimise systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery and Operations
Own and manage end-to-end service delivery for assigned customers or systems.
Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators, and service-quality standards.
Act as the primary escalation point for technical incidents and issues.
Provide regular service reports, reviews, and recommendations.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve service performance.
Technical Engineering
Perform hands-on troubleshooting across infrastructure, applications, and platforms.
Design, implement, and maintain technical solutions and system improvements.
Support system deployments, upgrades, patches, and configurations.
Identify and drive automation and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Participate in Root Cause Analysis and implement preventive measures.
Customer and Stakeholder Management
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into appropriate technical solutions.
Provide technical advice and guidance to customers.
Communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
Identify gaps in service delivery and recommend process improvements.
Drive service optimisation and cost-efficiency initiatives.
Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge bases, and industry best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Technical Skills
Strong technical experience in one or more of the following areas: Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.Infrastructure technologies, including Windows/Linux servers and networking.DevOps tools, including CI/CD, automation, and scripting.Enterprise applications or platforms.
Experience using monitoring, incident-management, and troubleshooting tools.
Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or Bash will be advantageous.
Service Delivery and Operations
Experience managing SLAs, incidents, problems, and change-management processes.
Familiarity with ITIL practices.
Proven ability to manage production environments and critical systems.
SOFT SKILLS
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to balance customer requirements with technical constraints.
Strong problem-solving mindset with ownership and accountability.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
ITIL certification.
Cloud certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience working in customer-facing technical roles.
Experience in managed services or enterprise IT operations.
