We're Hiring | Procurement Material Planner
Job location Malaysia office
Working hours 10:00 – 19:00 Malaysia time
Employment type One-year employment contract, renewable.
A well-established organization within the Aviation & Defence Manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Procurement Material Planner to join its growing Supply Chain team.
If you have a strong background in Material Planning, Procurement Operations, and SAP MRP, along with experience supporting manufacturing environments, this could be an excellent opportunity to advance your career.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and monitor material requirements based on production plans and MRP outputs
Ensure timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production operations
Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs)
Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock levels, including safety stock and reorder parameters
Maintain accurate material master data, including lead times, MOQ, and MRP parameters
Track supplier deliveries, follow up on outstanding orders, and resolve supply issues
Collaborate with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and confirm order schedules
Coordinate closely with production, warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams
Generate reports on material shortages, procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality requirements, and audit standards
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline
1 to 2 years of Material Planning experience within the Aviation or Defence Manufacturing industry
Experience in procurement and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment
Strong hands-on experience with SAP MRP (MM/PP modules)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and coordination abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment
