Job Summary
You will maintain and repair air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and audiovisual systems throughout the hotel to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction. You will also conduct inspections and promptly address maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas.
Responsibilities
Repair and troubleshoot air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and auxiliary systems throughout the hotel to ensure operational efficiency
Service, repair and maintain all mechanical and electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
Maintain audiovisual equipment and systems according to manufacturer specifications to ensure uninterrupted operation
Execute planned maintenance programs as scheduled to uphold equipment reliability and safety
Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms and public areas to identify and rectify issues such as wallpaper damage, plastering defects, masonry, plumbing fittings, air conditioning, fire systems and lighting faults within shift hours
Respond to One Stop Service requests and complete tasks within 12 minutes to maintain high service standards
Inspect mechanical and electrical systems, including servicing and checking system control circuits, to ensure proper functioning
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, lifting and climbing to access various work environments
Work in diverse physical environments such as mechanical rooms rooftops, and utility areas safely and effectively
Stand, walk or bend for extended periods during shifts to complete maintenance and inspection tasks
Adapt work schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays as needed to support hotel operations and emergency responses
Required competencies and certifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Further technical education or certifications in engineering, building systems or facilities management
1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in hospitality or hotel industry
Experience working with hotel systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and fire safety system
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems with emphasis on quick response to urgent issues
