Spinnaker Hiring! Full Time P-I Claim Handler in - Ricebowl

An established and growing marine insurance platform is looking to hire a Claims Handler to join its international team, based in Singapore.

This is a hands-on role within a lean, collaborative environment, offering exposure to a broad range of marine claims across multiple jurisdictions. It will suit a technically strong claims professional who is comfortable working with autonomy while contributing to a globally integrated operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of marine claims, primarily P&I with some FD&D exposure
• Act as a key contact for assureds, brokers, lawyers, and external stakeholders
• Provide coverage analysis and policy interpretation across a variety of claims scenarios
• Instruct and liaise with external counsel, surveyors, and experts globally
• Oversee claims strategy, including reserving, negotiation, and settlement
• Partner with underwriting teams, providing claims insight to support risk selection
• Contribute to the development of claims processes within a growing platform

Candidate Profile

• Experience handling marine claims within a P&I Club, Law Firm, insurer/MGA, or shipowner/operator environment
• Strong technical understanding of P&I and marine insurance wordings
• Proven ability to manage claims end-to-end
• Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working independently within a lean team structure
• Able to operate effectively across an international, multi-time zone environment
