What You'll Do:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mainframe Developer to provide L3 application support and development services for Cardlink applications within the Cards domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for application maintenance, production support, defect resolution, development enhancements, and delivery activities in a Mainframe z/OS environment.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in COBOL/CICS development, Cardlink applications, and banking environments, with a good understanding of SDLC processes and change management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide L3 production support and technical assistance for Mainframe/Cardlink applications.

Develop, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot applications using COBOL and CICS.

Analyze production incidents, defects, and application issues and perform root-cause analysis.

Implement fixes, enhancements, and technical solutions while following established development standards.

Develop and maintain JCL for batch processing and application execution.

Work with Easytrieve for reporting, data extraction, and related Mainframe processing requirements.

Work with VSAM and sequential datasets for application data processing and troubleshooting.

Support application testing, deployment, release, and delivery activities.

Participate in SDLC activities including requirements analysis, development, testing, implementation, and post-production support.

Follow banking change management, release management, and operational processes.

Collaborate with QA, application support, business, infrastructure, and other technical teams to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and application specifications.

Ensure production changes are implemented safely and in accordance with established controls and procedures.

Required Skills:

3-5 years of experience in Mainframe application development and support.

At least 4 years of hands-on experience developing applications using COBOL/CICS.

Strong experience with Mainframe z/OS environments.

Hands-on experience with JCL.

Working knowledge of Easytrieve.

Experience working with VSAM and sequential datasets.

Experience with Cardlink development and delivery is mandatory.

Experience in the banking/financial services sector.

Good understanding of SDLC processes and software delivery practices."
