Accounts Assistant

The Accounts Assistant will play a crucial role in our finance department, providing support for the successful implementation of Project Horizon. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Verify and process vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Prepare and schedule accounts payable payments, maintaining a well-organized payment system.
  • Review and approve employee expense reports, enforcing travel and entertainment policies.
  • Generate non-inventory cross charges and issue necessary documents to vendors.
  • Monitor customer accounts, follow up on past due balances, and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Input and manage intercompany invoices, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
  • Update daily cash positions, perform bank reconciliations, and assist in STCF preparation.
  • Conduct reconciliation between RHQ and DHK, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial support and assist with special projects as required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly SAP, is highly preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with vendors and colleagues.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • A Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is advantageous.
