We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the finance and accounting functions of the Company. The role is responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, Accounts Payable, vendor relationships, payment and financing activities, cash flow management, tax and statutory compliance, and maintaining effective financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and payment processes.
• Prepare and review quarterly financial information and annual financial statements for statutory and Bursa Malaysia reporting.
• Review financial results, management reports, and key variances, and provide relevant financial analysis to management.
• Oversee revenue recognition and accounting treatments in accordance with MFRS 15, including assessment of performance obligations, timing of revenue recognition, and appropriate revenue recognition methods.
• Apply MFRS/IFRS requirements and review accounting treatments for significant or complex transactions.
• Oversee Accounts Payable activities and maintain effective relationships with key vendors, including invoice and payment matters and resolution of outstanding issues.
• Review payment activities to ensure accuracy, proper supporting documents, and compliance with internal controls.
• Monitor financing facilities, loan-related matters, and cash flow requirements, including liaison with bankers.
• Coordinate external audit activities and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, vendors, and other relevant parties.
• Oversee tax compliance matters, including Corporate Tax, SST, Withholding Tax (WHT), and preparation of tax schedules for tax agents.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory and regulatory requirements to Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission (SC), and other relevant authorities.
• Maintain effective internal controls and finance procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Supervise and provide guidance to the finance team and ensure timely completion of finance activities.
• Support the implementation of new accounting standards, SAP improvements, and other finance-related projects.

Requirements

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent, and/or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Registered member of MIA.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in an audit firm.
• Strong experience in financial accounting, financial reporting, month-end closing, and management reporting.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in MFRS 15, particularly revenue recognition for project and service-based contracts.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Good knowledge of Corporate Tax, SST, Withholding Tax (WHT), and statutory compliance.
• Familiarity with the Companies Act, Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Exposure to the IT industry is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
