About Us

Yum Cha is a well-established dim sum teahouse known for our award-winning dishes and strong customer base. We are expanding our leadership team and seeking an Assistant Operations Manager (Outlet Lead) to oversee daily Front-of-House (FOH) operations and ensure smooth, consistent service at our outlet.

This role is ideal for experienced Floor Managers or Duty Managers ready to step up into a leadership position.

What You’ll Do

Daily Operations

• Lead FOH operations and supervise captains and service crew
• Manage table flow, seating arrangements, and peak-hour service
• Ensure service quality, customer satisfaction, and timely dish delivery
• Handle escalated customer feedback and perform service recovery
• Conduct daily floor checks to ensure outlet readiness and hygiene standards

Manpower & Training

• Assist with staff scheduling and manpower deployment
• Train new hires on service SOPs, customer service, and operational standards
• Provide performance feedback and support staff development

Inventory & Compliance

• Monitor FOH inventory and raise requisitions for supplies
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and operational SOPs
• Support stock-taking and cost-control initiatives

Outlet Leadership

• Act as outlet-in-charge in the absence of senior management
• Prepare daily operational reports and highlight issues to Operations Manager
• Support implementation of promotions, workflow improvements, and service initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 4–6 years of FOH experience in F&B
• Prior experience as Floor Manager, Duty Manager, or supervisory role
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking customers, staff, and suppliers for work purposes
• Ability to manage fast-paced operations and resolve issues independently
• Good understanding of restaurant service standards and hygiene requirements
• Positive attitude, team player, and strong sense of responsibility

Eligibility

• This role is open to candidates who are legally able to work in Singapore.

Working Hours

• 6 days per week (rotating shifts)
• Weekends and public holidays required
• No 12-hour shifts
