QA/QC EXECUTIVE – FOOD MANUFACTURING

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Executive to manage both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities within our food manufacturing operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring food safety, product quality, production compliance and regulatory requirements are consistently maintained.

This position requires hands-on experience in MeSTI, Halal, HACCP and GMP.

Key Responsibilities
QA & Food Safety

• Manage and maintain the company's QA/QC and Food Safety Management System.
• Ensure compliance with MeSTI, HACCP, GMP, Halal and applicable food safety requirements.
• Maintain and update SOPs, work instructions, specifications and QA/QC documentation.
• Monitor food safety practices throughout the production process.
• Maintain HACCP documentation, flow charts, hazard analysis, CCP monitoring and verification records.
• Monitor Critical Control Points (CCP) and ensure corrective actions are taken when deviations occur.
• Manage and maintain Halal-related documentation, supplier certificates and compliance records.
• Prepare and maintain MeSTI documentation and records.
• Conduct regular GMP, hygiene and sanitation inspections.

QC & Production

• Conduct incoming raw material inspection, in-process inspection and finished product inspection.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with approved specifications and SOPs.
• Check product weight, appearance, packaging, labelling, batch/lot number and product specifications.
• Identify and control non-conforming raw materials, packaging and finished products.
• Conduct product sampling and basic quality checks where required.
• Work closely with Production to identify and resolve quality issues.

Audit & Compliance

• Prepare and coordinate Halal, MeSTI, HACCP, GMP and customer audits/inspections.
• Conduct internal QA/QC inspections and audits.
• Follow up on audit findings and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Prepare NCR, CAPA and corrective action reports.
• Liaise with relevant authorities, auditors, certification bodies and external laboratories when required.

Documentation & Traceability

• Maintain accurate QA/QC records and reports.
• Manage product traceability and batch records.
• Conduct mock recall and support product recall activities when required.
• Monitor supplier documentation including Halal certificates, COA and product specifications.
• Assist in investigating customer complaints and conduct root cause analysis.

Training & Improvement

• Conduct food safety, hygiene, GMP, HACCP and quality training for production staff.
• Identify opportunities to improve product quality and food safety.
• Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing and Management to resolve quality issues.
• Perform other quality-related duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

MUST HAVE:

• Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Manufacturing, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Food Manufacturing / FMCG / Food Processing.
• Hands-on experience handling MeSTI is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience handling Halal certification and compliance is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with HACCP is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of GMP, GHP and food safety requirements.
• Experience handling both QA and QC functions.
• Experience in preparing for and handling internal/external audits and inspections.
• Good documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with Production and other departments.
• Willing to work on the production floor and conduct regular inspections.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT

Candidates MUST have hands-on experience in Food Manufacturing and must have experience handling MeSTI, Halal, HACCP and GMP.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
