Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced OpenText TeamSite / CMS Developer to join our technology team and support the design, development, customization, integration, and maintenance of enterprise web content management solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with OpenText TeamSite, LiveSite, Content Management, Java/J2EE, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and enterprise CMS integrations. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, designers, QA teams, and other development teams to deliver scalable and high-quality digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

OpenText TeamSite Development

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain applications and websites using OpenText TeamSite CMS.
• Develop and maintain TeamSite templates, components, workflows, forms, and content types.
• Configure and customize TeamSite environments based on business and technical requirements.
• Develop reusable CMS components and templates to support enterprise content management.
• Manage content creation, publishing, versioning, approvals, and deployment processes.
• Implement customized authoring interfaces and content management functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve TeamSite-related development and production issues.

OpenText LiveSite / Web Content Management

• Develop and maintain OpenText LiveSite components, pages, templates, and configurations.
• Integrate TeamSite content with LiveSite and other digital experience platforms.
• Configure content delivery and publishing workflows.
• Support personalization, dynamic content, and reusable content components where applicable.
• Optimize CMS applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Workflow Development

• Design and develop TeamSite workflows based on business approval and publishing requirements.
• Customize workflow scripts and approval processes.
• Configure multi-level content approval and publishing workflows.
• Troubleshoot workflow failures and content publishing issues.
• Automate repetitive content management and deployment activities.

Web Development

• Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using:
• HTML5
• CSS3
• JavaScript
• XML
• XSLT
• JSON
• Develop reusable front-end components and integrate them with CMS content.
• Ensure compatibility across supported browsers and devices.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement web designs within TeamSite.

Integration & API Development

• Integrate OpenText TeamSite with enterprise applications, databases, APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Develop and consume REST/SOAP APIs where required.
• Integrate CMS with external systems such as CRM, DAM, analytics, search, e-commerce, and customer-facing applications.
• Work with Java/J2EE or other backend technologies for CMS integrations.
• Troubleshoot data, API, and integration issues.

Required Technical Skills

Must-Have

• Strong hands-on experience with OpenText TeamSite / OpenText Web Content Management.
• Experience developing TeamSite templates, components, content types, forms, and workflows.
• Experience with TeamSite Workflow development and customization.
• Good knowledge of OpenText LiveSite.
• Strong knowledge of XML and XSLT.
• Strong web development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Java/J2EE or enterprise application development.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
• Good understanding of CMS architecture and content publishing lifecycle.
• Experience with source-code management tools such as Git, SVN, or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with OpenText Media Management / Digital Asset Management (DAM).
• Experience with OpenText TeamSite Content Services.
• Knowledge of OpenText Experience Platform / Digital Experience products.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes or cloud-based deployments.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, Maven, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Experience with Angular, React, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience with enterprise search platforms such as Solr or Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of web security, authentication, authorization, and SSO.
