We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer / Administrator to support enterprise cloud environments, with a strong focus on AWS resource provisioning, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), system maintenance, production support, and GCC security requirements.
The ideal candidate will be highly hands-on and take end-to-end ownership and accountability for AWS infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, security, and operational stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision, configure, maintain, and support AWS cloud infrastructure and resources.
- Manage AWS compute and application services including EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS and API Gateway.
- Work with AWS data and storage services including S3, DynamoDB, RDS and ElastiCache.
- Configure and support messaging and event-driven services including SQS, SNS and EventBridge.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Configure and manage IAM roles and policies, Secrets Manager, encryption and access controls.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Monitor applications and infrastructure using CloudWatch, including logging, alerting and performance monitoring.
- Troubleshoot production, infrastructure and application performance issues.
- Perform ongoing system maintenance, patching, upgrades and operational support.
- Ensure environments comply with GCC security, logging and vulnerability-management requirements.
- Take ownership of infrastructure issues through investigation, resolution and documentation.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure / AWS Administration / Cloud Engineering.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience, particularly:
- EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway
- S3, DynamoDB, RDS, ElastiCache
- SQS, SNS, EventBridge
- IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch
- Strong experience with AWS resource provisioning and administration.
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Experience creating and supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Strong understanding of AWS security, IAM, encryption, logging and vulnerability management.
- Experience troubleshooting production and performance issues.
- Strong ownership and accountability for production cloud environments.
- Experience working with Linux environments.
Highly Preferred
- Previous Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) experience.
- Kubernetes / EKS and Docker/container experience.
- AWS certification such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator or DevOps Engineer.
