About Us

Our tutors at Learnalink are NUS Science graduates turned founders. Our mission is to help Science students fall in love with Science using our diagrammatic notes, feel in control of their studies, and get into their dream schools.

We specialise in creating comic strips and breaking down processes into clear, diagrammatic steps that let students understand each topic almost immediately, as scientific processes unfold visually in front of them.

In a few years, we want Learnalink to be the first place people turn to for advice and support with their Science studies — and we'd love your help making that happen.

Position: Part-Time Secondary School Science Tutor

This is an on-site, part-time role for a Secondary School Science Tutor.

We're looking for a motivated, committed, and empathetic team member to join our tutoring team. You'll work closely with students to help them think critically, strengthen their study skills, and build resilience during an important stage of their lives. You'll also work closely with us to bring Learnalink's vision to life.

Beyond tutoring, there's an opportunity to contribute to resource and social content creation across our website, Instagram, and TikTok.

You'll start with roughly 1–4 hours of tutoring each week (about 1–4 students), with the opportunity to grow as your schedule permits and as more students join.

We're hoping this role begins by October 1st, or sooner.

Role Details

Part-time hourly rate: $45–95 SGD, depending on experience.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Tutoring Dedication

· Conduct engaging weekly Science tutoring sessions for Sec 1–4 students by building a personal connection with each student

· Develop personalised learning plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals

Progress Tracking

· Monitor and report on students' progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed

· Maintain detailed session records, progress reports, and other required documentation

· Prepare and present regular progress updates to parents and founders

Curriculum Confidence

· Stay current with SEAB syllabus trends and changes to marking rubrics

· Use our proprietary diagrammatic notes during lessons

· Participate in Learnalink's training workshops and stay familiar with our resources

Student Support and Engagement

· Offer kind, clear feedback to support student progress — to parents, founders, and students alike

· Collaborate with parents and/or founders to provide holistic support to each student

· Manage daily enquiries from parents and students, including scheduling sessions and responding to questions

Availability and Commitment

· Be available for tutoring sessions during agreed-upon hours, particularly after-school hours and weekends

· Commit to tutoring for a minimum of 3 months

· A love for visualising — you believe that diagrammatic notes (clear sketches, flowcharts, and labelled visuals) are a powerful way to break down and internalise complex Science concepts

· A genuine interest in people — you enjoy learning about your students' backgrounds, interests, and aspirations. This curiosity helps you build rapport, tailor your teaching approach, and create a more personalised, engaging learning experience. You understand that strong tutor-student relationships are fundamental to effective education, and you're committed to fostering a supportive environment where every student feels valued

· Independence — you have excellent organisational skills and have no issue getting work done independently while maintaining high standards

· Strong interpersonal skills — you're comfortable having honest, sometimes difficult conversations with heart, ensuring open and empathetic communication with Learnalink, parents, and students

Non-Negotiables

· Very good A-Level grades in Science subjects (Biology/Physics/Chemistry), or a degree in a Science-related field

· Familiarity with the MOE SEAB syllabus and topic content for Biology, Physics, or Chemistry (bonus if you're familiar with multiple subjects)

· The ability to work efficiently and independently, without supervision

· A passion for connecting with people and building meaningful relationships

· Empathy and enthusiasm

· A hunger to keep learning how to be a better teacher — you understand every student is different, and that proactiveness is what keeps you performing at your best

· Working technical knowledge of Zoom, Gmail, and Google Drive
