Who We Are
GECO Asia is a technology consulting and talent development company headquartered in Singapore, helping organizations accelerate digital transformation through AI, technology solutions, workforce development, and capability-building programmes across the region.
As part of our growth in Malaysia, we are expanding our training and workforce development business, including HRDC claimable programmes, AI and digital skills training, capability development initiatives, and government-funded projects.
We are looking for an experienced individual whounderstandsthe Malaysian training market inside outandcan help drive programme commercialisation, HRDC processes, grants, and government engagement.
Responsibilities
HRDC & Training Operations
Lead HRDC-related activities — training provider matters, programme registration, trainer accreditation, grant applications,claimsand compliance.
Ensure training programmes meet HRDC requirements and remain eligible for funding and claims.
Monitor HRDC updates,policiesand funding schemes.
Training Business Development
Support the growth and commercialisation of GECO Asia's training programmes.
Advise on training market trends, pricing,positioningand demand in Malaysia.
Identifyopportunities for new programmes,partnershipsand funding initiatives.
Government Grants & Applications
Manage applications and submissions to government agencies and funding bodies.
Research andidentifygrants,incentivesand workforce development programmes relevant to GECO Asia.
Coordinate supporting documentation and liaise with agencies throughout the application process.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
Build relationships with HRDC, MDEC,TalentCorp, industry associations and ecosystem partners, and represent GECO Asia at industry and government engagements.
Programme Governance & Reporting
Maintain training, grant and compliance records, and prepare performance updates and recommendations for management.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, Training & Development, or a related field.
3-5 years’ experience in corporate training, learning & development, or workforce developmentindustry.
Hands-on experience with HRDC grants, claims, programmeregistrationand training provider processes.
Experience working with government agencies on grant applications and funding programmes.
Strong understanding of Malaysia's training and HRDC ecosystem, including how training providersoperatecommercially.
Familiarity withgovagencies; existing relationships in the ecosystem are an advantage.
Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple applications and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
