About the role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead and manage the full spectrum of HR operations for our growing workforce. This role is ideal for an HR professional with strong experience in large workforce management, foreign worker management, payroll, employee relations and Malaysian employment compliance, preferably within the Facility Management, Cleaning Services, Manpower, Security or other labour-intensive industries.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage the overall HR operations and ensure effective implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Oversee HR operations for a large workforce of approximately 2,000 employees across multiple project sites.
Ensure compliance with the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations requirements and other applicable Malaysian labour laws and regulations.
Manage matters relating to JTK, Immigration, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN and other relevant government authorities.
Oversee foreign worker matters including work permits, renewals, welfare, accommodation and related compliance requirements.
Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, transfer, disciplinary matters, termination and offboarding.
Handle employee grievances, misconduct cases, show-cause processes and disciplinary matters professionally and fairly.
Oversee monthly payroll processing, attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions and statutory contributions.
Monitor employee attendance, absenteeism, leave and workforce deployment matters.
Work closely with Operations and project/site management on manpower requirements and workforce planning.
About you
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of HR experience, preferably with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
Experience managing a large workforce and multi-site operations is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and HR compliance.
Hands-on experience in foreign worker management is highly advantageous.
Strong payroll and attendance management knowledge.
Experience dealing with government authorities including JTK and Immigration is an advantage.
Strong employee relations, disciplinary and conflict-resolution skills.
Good leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Proficient in HRIS/payroll systems; experience with HR2000, QuickPay or Paybun will be an advantage.
