We are seeking an analytical, highly technical, and results-oriented Manufacturing Manager to lead our production operations, workshop engineering teams, and factory floor logistics. In this critical leadership role, you will be the core technical owner responsible for managing the full lifecycle of custom manufacturing programs, shop-floor capacity planning, machinery optimization, and workforce scheduling. Operating from our West Region facility, you will bridge the gap between multinational corporate clients, backend technical procurement units, and raw material logistics networks to ensure that all factory outputs are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in strict accordance with ISO quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Total Production & Operations Oversight: Direct the day-to-day scheduling, machinery assignments, resource allocations, and output performance of our specialized industrial manufacturing floor.
- Workflow Optimization & Throughput Scaling: Establish, track, and monitor operational performance metrics (KPIs) to eliminate production lines bottlenecks, minimize machinery downtime, and optimize inventory cross-docking.
- Capacity Planning & Material Control: Implement comprehensive material requirements planning (MRP) and labor scheduling templates to match dynamic client order volumes and project blueprints.
- Quality Assurance & Defect Mitigation: Enforce rigid compliance with corporate quality control checklists, technical testing standards, and product specifications to guarantee zero custom component defect rates.
- Budgeting & Cost Engineering: Manage allocated manufacturing floor budgets, monitor raw material scrap benchmarks, and analyze utility metrics to minimize working capital waste.
- Workplace Safety & Compliance (WHS): Enforce strict adherence to Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations, Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) standards, and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee a zero-accident factory setup.
- Technical Documentation Control: Maintain precise physical and digital records frameworks, compiling comprehensive equipment maintenance records, daily batch sheets, and compliance certificates for statutory and internal audits.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related quantitative engineering discipline.
- Technical Stack: Deep structural knowledge of production planning mechanics, configuration tracking models, and technical blueprint interpretation. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for metrics tracking and data parsing is required.
- Experience: Prior experience (3–5 years) in a manufacturing manager, shop floor supervisor, or senior production engineer role—specifically within a precision engineering, heavy manufacturing, or industrial assembly sector—is required.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; professional telephone etiquette and an assertive, collaborative stakeholder management style.
- Core Competencies: Outstanding structural logic, intense numerical aptitude, sharp analytical problem-solving skills under tight production quotas, and a resilient team-player mindset.
