KEY PURPOSE

• Proven experience in managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, obtaining quotations, negotiating terms, and selecting suppliers.
• Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, understanding vendor capabilities, and negotiating favorable pricing and service terms.
• Hands-on experience with drafting, reviewing, and managing supplier contracts and service agreements, ensuring compliance and effective contract execution.
• Experience in budget planning and monitoring procurement expenditures to achieve cost savings and maintain financial efficiency.
• Practical experience in inspecting and verifying the quality of received goods, with the ability to address discrepancies and enforce quality standards.
• Experience in maintaining detailed and accurate procurement records, including knowledge of document control systems and procurement software.
• Familiarity with tracking orders, managing delivery timelines, and coordinating with logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient supply chain management.
• Experience working in environments that require strict adherence to procurement laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Experience in identifying potential procurement risks, developing mitigation plans, and resolving supply chain issues effectively.
• Experience collaborating with various departments, such as finance, operations, and quality control, to align procurement activities with organizational goals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Collect multiple competitive quotations for each purchase request to ensure that the organization receives the best possible value for goods and services.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve favorable pricing and service terms that align with the organization’s budget and quality requirements.
• Prepare detailed and accurate purchase proposals that include specifications, supplier details, pricing, and justifications, and submit them for approval.
• Generate and issue Purchase Orders promptly to suppliers once purchase requests are approved, ensuring adherence to procurement policies.
• Maintain real-time updates on the status of all purchase requests to keep all stakeholders informed and ensure a seamless procurement workflow.
• Monitor and track all orders to ensure that deliveries are made on time, and communicate any delays or issues to relevant parties.
• Verify that all received goods match the specified standards and quality requirements, and address any discrepancies or quality concerns immediately.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities, including Purchase Orders, contracts, supplier information, and delivery confirmations.
• Regularly review and report on the progress and status of work contracted to third parties, ensuring that deliverables are completed according to agreements.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that goods and services delivered meet contract specifications, and document findings through detailed inspection reports.

REQUIREMENT

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management or any related field.
• A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in Procurement.
• Experience in port operations is an added value.
• Computer literate with excellent communication skills inter and outer department along with a strong pursuit in stakeholder management.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, able to interact with people at all levels.
• Negotiation skill to liaise with suppliers/contractors and have good knowledge with project related.
• Effective presentation skill.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
