Nadi Intelek (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a growing Early Intervention and Autism Therapy Centre established in 2015, specialising in intervention services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental needs.

As our organisation continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate, patient and dedicated Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our multidisciplinary therapy team.

This role is suitable for candidates who are interested in developing their career in special education, early intervention, autism therapy and child development.

The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to support children with autism and other developmental needs through structured learning and intervention programmes.

Job Description

  • Conduct individual and small-group learning and intervention sessions for children with special needs.
  • Plan and implement structured activities according to each child's individual learning and developmental needs.
  • Support children's development in areas such as communication, social skills, learning, behaviour, self-help and independence.
  • Adapt teaching methods and activities according to the child's ability, learning style and developmental level.
  • Monitor and record children's progress throughout intervention sessions.
  • Prepare appropriate teaching materials, visual aids and learning activities.
  • Manage classroom and children's behaviour in a calm, positive and structured manner.
  • Work closely with Behavioral Therapists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain a safe, positive and child-friendly learning environment.
  • Participate in training, case discussions and professional development activities.
  • Follow the centre's SOPs, intervention guidelines and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Global Developmental Delay (GDD) or other special needs is an advantage.
  • Passionate about working with children with special needs and supporting their learning and development.
  • Patient, calm and empathetic, especially when handling children who may have tantrums, crying, refusal or challenging behaviours.
  • Creative and able to adapt teaching activities according to different children's needs and abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
