IT Infrastructure Deployment Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for IT infrastructure deployment and site support within a manufacturing environment, covering structured cabling, network hardware, rack installation, endpoint deployment, asset management, vendor coordination, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deploy IT infrastructure based on factory floor layout and production requirements.

- Plan and supervise Cat6/Cat6A and fiber structured cabling, including routing, termination, testing, labeling, and documentation.

- Install and mount network switches, patch panels, racks, PDUs, KVMs, and other IT equipment.

- Perform Windows endpoint imaging, SOE configuration, application installation, domain joining, patching, and security validation.

- Test network connectivity for production equipment and IT endpoints.

- Raise PRs and coordinate with Procurement/vendors for IT hardware delivery and installation.

- Maintain IT asset inventory and CMDB records.

- Coordinate with Facilities, EHS, Manufacturing Engineering, vendors, and contractors for infrastructure deployment.

- Ensure compliance with EHS, electrical safety, and IT security requirements.

- Maintain network diagrams, cable schedules, rack diagrams, asset records, SOPs, and project handover documentation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field. Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.

- Minimum 2 years' experience in IT infrastructure, deployment, field engineering, or site IT.

- Hands-on experience with:

- Structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A/Fiber)

- Network switches, racks, patch panels and PDUs

- Windows imaging and endpoint deployment

- IT asset management / CMDB

- Vendor and contractor coordination

- Manufacturing/factory environment experience is an advantage.

- Good troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

- Willing to work on-site in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
