Our client is a prominent public sector organisation in Singapore seeking to appoint a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead its technology agenda. This is a key leadership appointment for a forward-looking technology leader who can shape the organisation's next phase of transformation, strengthen its technology and cybersecurity capabilities, and advance the adoption of AI across the organisation.

Responsibilities

Reporting to senior management, you will set and execute the organisation's multi-year technology strategy, providing leadership across applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and emerging technologies.

You will lead major technology transformation initiatives, modernising the technology environment while ensuring strong operational resilience, security and governance. A key priority will be to develop the organisation's approach towards AI adoption, identifying practical opportunities to improve productivity, service delivery and organisational effectiveness.

As a senior member of the leadership team, you will work closely with business and functional leaders to translate organisational priorities into technology initiatives and ensure technology investments deliver measurable outcomes.

Requirements

You are an established CIO or senior technology executive with broad leadership experience across enterprise technology, including cybersecurity and AI. You should have a strong track record of leading significant technology transformation and developing forward-looking technology strategies.

Candidates should bring recent leadership experience within a commercial organisation, ideally within a sizeable and complex operating environment. You are commercially minded, energetic and progressive in your approach, with the ability to challenge established ways of working and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
