About The Company

Our client is an established international venture capital investment firm. Its Singapore-based fund management platform oversees closed-ended funds and special purpose vehicles across the full investment lifecycle, from active deployment and portfolio-company activity through exits, distributions and wind-down. The finance and operations team works across multiple jurisdictions and partners closely with limited partners, fund administrators, auditors, regulators, banks, tax advisers and legal counsel.

THE ROLE

As a Finance & Operations Specialist, you will be a key member of the finance and operations team, taking ownership of a broad and complex portfolio spanning financial management across the firm's fund vehicles and fund management entities, compliance, audit, tax and LP reporting across all relevant jurisdictions. We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, independent and astute finance professional who brings sound judgement to ambiguous and fast-moving situations and continually strengthens and simplifies processes.

You will manage relationships with auditors, regulators, fund administrators, banks and LPs, and flag risk and process gaps before they become issues. You will own one actively investing fund and one harvesting fund with its SPVs end to end, covering financial reporting, LP reporting, audit, compliance and tax. You will report to the Head of Finance & Operations, who signs off on your work and handles senior escalations.

You will also be the first line of judgement on documents the firm signs, from portfolio-company corporate actions to fund management company resolutions. You will decide which documents require senior approval under the delegation-of-authority framework, approve routine documents, and prepare clear recommendations for the rest. You will work alongside a second specialist, covering each other's vehicles, reviewing each other's work and maintaining shared standards.

Fund Management Company

  • Review cash-payment cycles and stay informed of the company's cash position.
  • Keep the company's obligations as an MAS-licensed LFMC on track and filed on time.
