Role Description The PLC Programmer role at JUMO Malaysia is a full-time, on-site position based in Shah Alam. The PLC Programmer designs, programs, tests, and commissions PLC-based control systems for industrial automation projects, ensuring reliable integration with JUMO sensors and measurement equipment. Day-to-day tasks include developing control logic, creating HMI/SCADA interfaces, troubleshooting system issues, and optimizing processes based on customer requirements and site conditions. The role involves collaborating with engineering, sales, and service teams, preparing technical documentation, and providing support during installation and maintenance. The PLC Programmer also assists in continuous improvement, adherence to safety standards, and alignment with industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong PLC programming skills (e.g., ladder logic, function block, structured text) and experience with common PLC platforms and industrial communication protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications, and to create clear system documentation and user guides.
  • Proficiency in HMI/SCADA configuration, basic networking for industrial systems, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues on-site.
  • Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Automation Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues in multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to work on-site in industrial environments and occasionally travel to customer locations.
  • Experience in Codesys and experience in projects are advantages.
