Role Description The Accounts Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Ara Damansara. This role is responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, including processing invoices, recording financial transactions, preparing payment vouchers, and maintaining accurate ledgers. The Accounts Assistant supports monthly closing activities such as reconciliations, basic financial reports, and document filing. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and external parties on billing, payments, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. The Accounts Assistant will help maintain organized records and support the Accounts team in audit and reporting activities as needed.


Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Word) for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills for managing documents and financial records.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience in an accounting support role is an advantage.
  • Integrity, confidentiality in handling financial information, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
